Doncic, Powell, and Wood Lead the Way

Irving Shines in the Second Half Again

The Dallas Mavericks took a 2-1 series lead over the Los Angeles Clippers in a chippy Game 3 on Friday night. Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavs with 35 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. Dwight Powell added 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Christian Wood chipped in with 17 points and 9 rebounds.

The Clippers were led by Paul George's 29 points. Kawhi Leonard added 19 points, and Russell Westbrook had 17 points. The Clippers shot just 36.8% from the field and 22.0% from three-point range. The Mavs, meanwhile, shot 48.1% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range.

The game was chippy from the start, with both teams exchanging hard fouls and trash talk. The Clippers were particularly physical with Doncic, who was often targeted by multiple defenders.

The Mavs took control of the game in the second half, outscoring the Clippers 61-42. Irving was particularly impressive in the second half, scoring 17 points and dishing out 5 assists.

The Mavericks will look to take a 3-1 series lead in Game 4 on Sunday night. The Clippers will need to find a way to slow down Doncic and the Mavs' offense if they want to tie the series.
